It's already December???

I don't know about y'all, but I JUST threw out the Halloween candy!  The older I get, the faster the month's fly by.  My fiance, Scott, and I made a very quick trip down to sunny Florida for Thanksgiving and wouldn't ya know it, I GOT SICK!  Yep, I've been hanging out in 20 degree weather and then I hit the Georgia line and BOOM!  I start coughing.  It kept me from going hunting with daddy :(  But now we are back in North Carolina and trying to get back in the swing of things.  The house is a mess, we're trying to put away wedding gifts from a bridal shower, I'm trying to get thank you notes written, progress reports done, centers made...the list goes on and on!  And I'm a stickler for having all my Christmas shopping done - NOPE!  Not the first gift!  So this is just a quick post where I linked up with Farley at Oh Boy it's Fourth Grade to talk about my currently...

That last one...favorite tradition...it got me a little teary eyed.  EVERY SINGLE CHRISTMAS for the past 31 years my ENTIRE family has come over for the traditional Christmas breakfast with sausage gravy and biscuits.  Not to mention eggs, bacon, grits, pancakes...this will be my first year missing the traditional Christmas breakfast :(
My fiance said it's part of growing up - now we get to start traditions of our own!

  1. Hello! I am loving your blog! I found it through Farley's Currently! Didn't you LOVE the weather in Florida over Thanksgiving? It was nice while it lasted, it returns to the 80 degree weather by the end of this week. I hope you start feeling better soon!

  2. Your Christmas breakfast sounds extra yummy and extra pleasant to be with family. Sorry to hear things will be changing-but change is good, and yes making new traditions sounds like a fun idea :)
